How to Price Your Home for Sale
Every city may have a few parks and bike trails, but Austin certainly takes it farther than most. The city boasts dozens of scenic bike trails ranging from a quarter mile to 10 miles. Whether you want an easy stroll or a real challenge, chances are you can find what you are looking for here. Some of Austin’s most popular trails are listed below.
The Barton Creek Greenbelt
The Greenbelt is one of Austin’s natural treasures. This strip of land located right in central Austin features multiple hiking and biking trails that vary by length and difficulty. Visitors can enjoy shady trees, local plants and wildlife, and even dip their feet in a cool creek if it’s been raining enough. Considering all that this park has to offer, it’s almost surprising that admission is totally free.
Town Lake Metropolitan Park
This large park offers just about any outdoor activity a person could be interested in: canoeing, swimming, learning about nature, and of course hiking and biking. There are over 10 miles of biking trails, including a very popular path around the lake. This path is flat for easy biking and wide, making it much easier for hikers and bikers to share the space.
Slaughter Creek Metropolitan Park
Located in south Austin, this secluded park feels like a wilderness in the middle of the city. Its highlight for cyclists is the Veloway, a three mile paved road that winds through some of the prettiest parks of the area. It is designated for bikers and skaters only, so you may enjoy your trip without worrying too much about pedestrians.
