Your Walk-Through Check List
Looking for a new home can be a stressful ordeal, as there are many things you need to consider during your home search.To help with your search, here is a check list of things to keep in mind when you go to walk through your potential new home.
- Wish List-Make a wish list before you go look at a home. This list should contain features you are hoping your new home will have. This may include a pool (or space to build a pool), a kitchen with an island, or multiple "living rooms".
- Sufficient Size-Is there enough room in the house for your family? What about for the future? If you are planning to have children, or if you have an aging parent who might live with you, is there enough room for these additional family members?
- Technical features-Are all the mechanical systems and appliances working? If anything is not working, will you have to pay to have them fixed?

- Yard-Is the yard big enough for your family's needs? If you have a pet, or if you are considering building a pool, will the yard size accommodate this?
- Furniture-Will your current furniture fit in the house and match the design of the house?
- Weather-Are there any natural hazards that may endanger your home? (ie. fire or floods)
- Bedrooms-Are there enough bedrooms for your family? Would you like to have an extra room for family and friends to stay in?
