Living in the City vs. the Suburbs
Austin has a wide variety of neighborhoods and areas of town. When deciding where you want to live, it is important to consider your commute to work and your lifestyle habits. Do you prefer the hustle and bustle of the city or the quieter atmosphere of the suburbs? Some Austin neighborhoods can even offer a little bit of both.
City Life
Living in the city can have great advantages. You don’t have to travel far to get where you want to go, and most of the time you can just walk. If you like being in the middle of things and never running out of events to attend, places to go, and attractions to visit, the city life is for you. Homes in austin neighborhoods like Tarrytown, Hyde Park, Rosedale and Brentwood offer the comfort of quiet suburban areas, but are nestled conveniently close to the city.
Suburban areas
Life in the suburbs can be quite different from living in the city. Pflugerville, Round Rock, Kyle, Buda and Cedar Park offer all the same luxuries as the city, but with a little more natural beauty mixed in. You may have to hop on the nearest highway to get downtown, but you will also be closer to malls and the lake than you would if you lived in the city.
