Why live in Austin?

As the gateway to the Texas Hill Country, Austin is home to natural landscapes formed by our rolling hills and sparkling water springs. We have shaded trails that wrap around Town Lake for you to enjoy biking, running, and walking, and easy access to docks to put your canoe or kayak in. In the evening during the summer months, we gather near the Congress Ave. Bridge to watch the departure of some 1.5 million bats. In addition to our wonderful nature aspects, we also are proud to say that we have some of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in the state.

"Live Music Capital of the World"

A night on the town in Austin includes nearly 200 venues on any given evening that host country, jazz, blues, rock and roll, hip-hop, western-swing, and tejano. The largest concentration of venues is found downtown in the Warehouse District and up and down Sixth Street .

With a large supply of bright students from the University of Texas , the city's economic and commercial growth continues, adding to the area's cultural, social and natural attractions.
