The Travis County Central Appraisal District has recently released its recent valuations of home values for Travis county.

The latest released information shows that the home values increased by 3.8 % in the new appraisals. This increase in value goes against the downturn in the current economy, and even the recent downturn in the local real estate market.

This increase , unfortunately,  means that more individuals will have to pay higher taxes on their homes because of the higher value.
