First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit to Expire

October 22nd, 2009

The large tax credit that is a major incentive for many current, first time home buyers will soon be expiring.  The bill that currently approved the tax credit has an expiration date set for the end of November.

Many experts in the real estate market believe that if the tax credit were to expire,  that the number of home sales would be dramatically affected.  Efforts are underway by these individuals to press the federal government to increase the length of time the program will continue for,  however no guarantees have been made if the program will continue after November.
